As part of SDWS outreach to underserved areas in San Diego, SDWS Art Education Committee members Jane LaFazio and Carol Cottone-Kolthoff went to Weingart Recreation Center in University Heights to teach the youth group arts and crafts teacher and her students a James Hubbell-inspired landcape painting lesson. We brought watercolor paper and had planned to use the center's watercolors but found they only had tempra paint. No problem, we're adaptable. As you can see, the kids did great and were wonderful students.

We gave the teacher a packet containing lesson plans for this lesson and 4 other watercolor lessons for her to use in the future.
