Light and Shadow will be emphasized in the workshop, along with the importance of tonal values in your paintings. Encouraging the artists to produce bold strong paintings with confidence will be the goal of each day.

 A demonstration will be conducted each morning where artists may ask questions at any time in the process.  Assistance to all artists with questions on their workshop paintings. Critiques are optional near the end of each class.

Bruce Handford

 Bruce Handford resides in northern Virginia where he paints both plein air and from his studio at home. He is a signature member of the National Watercolor Society, the Transparent Watercolor Society of America Master Status, Watercolor West and the Northeast Watercolor Society.  An award winning watercolorist, his paintings have been shown in international, national and regional exhibitions. He is mostly self-taught and has painted full time for the past sixteen years. He has been featured in the American Art Collector Magazine, The American Artist Watercolor Magazine and The Watercolor Artist Magazine. His paintings can be found in corporate and private collections throughout the country.
