Vlad Yeliseyev

Russian-born artist Vladislav Yeliseyev came to the United States in the 1980s with a classical art education from the Moscow School of Art and a Master's Degree in Architecture from the Moscow Institute of Architecture. Today, he is an internationally recognized watercolor and plein air painter, author, and instructor. He is a Signature Member of the American Impressionist Society, National Watercolor Society, and Florida Watercolor Society. His paintings are represented in private and corporate collections worldwide.

His bestselling book, Light and Color in the Watercolor Landscape, was published by Rockport Publishers in February 2026.

Vladislav works from his studio in Sarasota, Florida, where he continues to study and refine his craft. Known for his mastery of light, expressive brushwork, luminous color, and confident calligraphy, his paintings have been featured on the covers and in numerous national and international art publications, including Watercolor Artist, PleinAir Magazine, Fine Art Connoisseur, The Art of Watercolour, and Artists & Illustrators.

By the end of the workshop, participants will have completed:

• A series of focused drawing and watercolor studies.
• Multiple value and compositional sketches.
• Three finished full-size watercolor paintings.

More importantly, participants will leave with a clearer understanding of the principles behind successful watercolor painting—knowledge that can be applied to any subject and continue improving long after the workshop has ended.
