Rabi Alieva

Rabi Alieva is a Munich-based watercolor artist known for her structural approach to portrait painting. Her work emphasizes light, planes, and emotional presence over strict photographic likeness. She teaches internationally and encourages students to develop confidence and artistic independence.
Workshop participants will develop a clear and logical approach to portrait construction, gaining the confidence to move beyond copying a reference and toward creating original, artistic interpretations. Topics covered:
• Facial proportions and structural understanding
• Light and shadow as tools for building form
• Strong composition in portrait format
• Color mixing for luminous skin tones
• Emotional storytelling through brushwork
By the end of the workshop, students will leave with practical tools, new techniques, and a deeper understanding of how to create portraits with presence and individuality.
Each participant will receive a comprehensive PDF Portrait Guide designed by the instructor to support continued independent practice at home.
