2022 Coronado Public Library Exhibition
“The Spirit of Spring”

The Coronado Public Library has reached out to the San Diego Watercolor Society to help them celebrate their 75th Anniversary in March 2022. This exhibition will also coincide with the 100th Anniversary of the Annual Coronado Flower Show. The exhibition will hang in the John D. Spreckels Reading room, which is an elegant and well lighted venue. Online Entry will be open from Feb1-15. The Run Dates for the Exhibition are March 12 to May 11. The Opening Reception will be March 13, 2-4pm. The juror, Robin Erickson, will be looking for artwork that is “uplifting” and reflects the spirit of springtime. The Coronado Library is located at 640 Orange Ave, Coronado.


Entry Information

1. Artists must be current members of the San Diego Watercolor Society.

2. Both “minis” and “regulars” will be considered. Up to two paintings of each size can be entered.

3. Entry Requirements (Framing, matting, etc.) will follow SDWS Member Show Requirements with the exception that:

• Frame size for “Regulars” must not exceed 40” on any one side.
• The paintings may have hung in any previous SDWS Exhibition and be older than 2 years.

4. All paintings will be for sale and will stay up for the duration of the exhibition.

5. The City of Coronado takes 30% commission. No additional commission will be taken. Price your work accordingly.


Paintings must be entered online. Accepted paintings must be delivered to the San Diego Watercolor Society Gallery
on March 8, 10am – 4pm.

In the event of a sale, SDWS will invoice the Buyer and then forward 30% commission to the Coronado Library.
