Find Success Through Composition and Glazing

This workshop, with "intuitive watercolorist" Chuck McPherson, is for painters that seek more from their paintings. Strong composition and depth of color lend a "voice" to your art that will turn heads. With nearly 300 awards, this triple Signature holder will help you find your voice through his thoughts and techniques ~ no matter your skill level. Workshoppers paint from their own reference material guided by Chuck's layout review at the beginning of class. Once you have created an attractive composition, it's all about the fun of starting the painting. Then the glazing process  begins ~ bringing realism, attitude or emotion, depending on your stylistic goals. Remember, you will be working with an artist nationally recognized for three styles in his own work; Realistic, Experimental and Abstraction. You know his name, now learn his methods for creating successful paintings!

Chuck McPherson NWS WFWS SDWS works primarily in watercolor, but experiments with materials like the Magic Eraser, water-soluble Caran D'Ache Crayons, cardboard stamping and other unusual non-art mediums (hopefully coffee will be brewing in the workroom!) ~ whatever it takes to bring the "voice" of his paintings alive. Chuck's artwork is awarded 42% of the time in SDWS Member shows, and has been juried into 4 WesternFeds, and 9 NWS and SDWS International Exhibitions.
