Scoggi   Scoggin painting   Scoggin pa

We will explore using acrylic and other mixed media to create abstract paintings. Work may be more realistic if desired.  Abstract design will be approached in multiple ways for varied effects including creating starts and developing the painting from the starts.  This will include layering, glazing using transparent and opaque paints, collage, stencils and other mixed media to develop the painting. A variety of methods will be used to apply the acrylic paint. Design and Composition will be explored as part of the process.  Each student will be encouraged to develop their own abstract style.  Watercolor paper, board or canvas may be used as substrates.
