Cherries & Glasses

Mullen  Mullen  Mullen

This fun workshop will focus on painting red cherries in a clear, crystal bowl. Linda will share tips on how to paint glass and get the deep, rich reds of the cherries.

Even if you are a beginner, you will learn some techniques that you will use whenever you paint. Paintings will be done from photos supplied ahead of time and there will be some tips on how to take the best photos for painting.

What about backgrounds? We will discuss how to integrate white flowers with a white or dark background—students choice!

Day One AM: Focus on the cherries. Discussion of glazing and blending to deepen the reds.

Day One PM: Paint the cherries and initial washes on the cloth. Prepare the drawing to be ready to paint the glass on day two.

Day Two AM: Paint the glass. Demo followed by painting with hands-on help. Finish the cloth and final touches on the painting.
