Textural Watercolor Exploration - LIVE GALLERY WORKSHOP

Textural Watercolor Explorations

Ride the wave, get the drift and settle for more by using granulating watercolors and saturated paper to portray your unique world view!  Move beyond painting literal representations by learning to distill the essence of your preferred subject matter. Create art with a bold, experimental attitude by learning to capitalize on the synergy of quality watercolor paper and sedimentary pigments influenced by gravity.  Employ spatial divisions, value organization, color harmonies and your own unique artist’s marks to produce fresh and powerful statements that will draw viewers across the room.  Discover your personal abstract predilections and inspiration. Learn about the use of symbols for emotional impact.  Risë’s demonstrations will share techniques for recovering light shapes while freely painting medium and dark values with gorgeous textures.  Previous experience with watercolor is necessary.
