Thank you, Volunteers!

Volunteers are central to the San Diego Watercolor Society. As an all-volunteer organization, we rely on our committed and passionate members to complete every single task. Big and small – all contributions of time and talent are recognized and appreciated.

The annual volunteer reception took place in November and Immediate Past President, Susan Hewitt, had the following poem read by Volunteer Director, Jessie Davenport.

An acrostic poem to our SDWS Volunteers

V is for the VERY special people that you are.
O is for the OUTSTANDING work you do.
L is for the LOVE we have while helping.
U is for the US! we're giving too.
N reminds us it's NOT work in the gallery.
T is for our TRIUMPH with problems solved.
E brings out our EXCELLENCE while we're smiling.
The other E's for the ENJOYMENT we're involved.
R sends ROUNDS of applause to the well-deserved,
our SDWS Volunteers we have all observed!

WE APPRECIATE EVERY SACRIFICED, SELFLESS MOMENT
YOU'VE GIVEN FOR OUR SOCIETY TO MAKE IT THE BEST!
THANK YOU! Susan
