Congratulations to Susan Hewitt, the October Volunteer of the Month! Not only is Susan a very talented artist, but she has been active in many aspects of the San Diego Watercolor Society. She volunteered in Education/outreach, was Member Shows Director and served as President for two years. As President, she stepped into many roles for the International Show, when vacancies occurred. Also, during her Presidency, SDWS hosted the Western Federation Exhibition for the first time in many years. Susan gathered the troops and the program was a rousing success. As past President, when the need arose for a temporary Member Shows Director, she bridged the gap and took on the job. Susan’s love of art is contagious, she is ever cheerful, gets along with everyone, and always does more than her share. She is more than worthy of this honor.
